Sun Dance Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Nine Mile Falls, Washington, just minutes from downtown Spokane.
Sun Dance Golf Course first opened for play in 1963. The course was designed by Dale Knott.
The course is draped across rolling hills, so you can expect many uneven lies. The narrow fairways are tree lined, and the small greens are undulating.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,010 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,658 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 492 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 13, a par-3 that plays to 121 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 460-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 13, a 121 yard par-3.
The course closed on September 30, 2018.
It is rumored that the land will become a residual development.
Ken Johnston and his wife, Peggy Jones, purchased the golf course in 1977. When Johnston died in 1997, Peggy and her children took over ownership of the property, The Spokesman-Review reported.
Jones sold the property—which includes a driving range, pro shop, and a restaurant—to developer Brad West in 2017 for $1.7 million, according to Spokane County Assessor’s records.

Really good "neighborhood" course. Not a long course, but requires accuracy. Tree lined fairways. Fairways and greens in very good condition. Good variety of hole designs. Very affordable. Worth a stop if anywhere in the Spokane area. Good discount time fees generally.
